PSM (Physics Service Meeting)
ITUM (IT
Technical Users Meeting)
The IT Technical Users Meeting (ITUM) brings
together technical experts from IT department and its user
communities. The regular meetings address technical topics of common
interest across user communities.
IT
Service Review Meetings (ITSRM)
As part of the overall service level management process, it is
essential to organise structured communications channels with the
user community which depend on the services provided by IT. It is
recognised that there are potentially many meeting types required to
deal with issues of differing levels of technical complexity.
The ITSRM deals with the highest levels of IT strategy that
impact the services offered to the users. It is a body that can
receive input on user requirements as well as coordinate necessary
changes. It is therefore primarily a policy body
and not an operational meeting although as part of the review of the
performance of IT services, specific and important operational
issues that may have an impact on policy can be addressed.
The intention is that the ITSRM should agree on strategic
opportunities and direction related to IT services. The IT
department then translates these into actions as part of the overall
management of IT services.
